To us, these are the perfect frames. We love the sleek frame because it looks subtle and chic. The frame is made of strong aluminium with a wood veneer layer. We like to use wooden frames, because it matches the texture of our monoprints.

Choosing your frame
“Oak” is a light wood with a small hint of grey. You can order a frame in the exact size of your print.

Choosing glass
Clarity glass or museum glass gives you the impression there is no glass in the frame at all. Regular glass has more the effect of a mirror, and gives you less connection with the work in the frame. Museum glass has a coating that gives high UV protection and it has a special coating that takes a lot of reflection away. We recommend choosing this special glass to get the best possible connection with the monoprint behind it. For the 70x100 size we only sell museum glass.

Shipping
When you order a frame, it will be handmade especially for you. Then it is shipped to you directly from the framemakers. You will get an email with the shipping information. There are no shipping costs for the frames. Please note: we currently only sell frames to customers based in the Netherlands. The estimated delivery time is one week.

Framing your print
Framing is easy! After you have received your monoprint from us and its frame from the framemaker, it is time for framing. Don't forget to take a close look at your monoprint and feel the paint textures before you put it inside the frame. When framing, always put the frame on a hard surface like the floor or table. And place the white sheet in the frame behind the print, before you close the frame.

It is an option to have your print pressed and glued to a backboard by your local framemaker. A paper artwork that is put loose into a frame has the possibility to move a bit. The bigger the size of a print, the more space an artwork has to move. Your framemaker can advise you about the options to keep a print tight in the frame. You can also consult your framemaker about using and choosing passe partouts.

Hanging your artwork
Each frame has a special hanging system that makes it possible to hang a print any way you like. A great advantage because our prints have no official up- or downside. Our advice is to hang your art nice and low, make sure it does not start “floating” on your wall but let it be part of your interior. The rule of thumb is to hang the middle of a frame on eye level.
