How to hang a gallery wall in 5 steps

Creating a gallery wall does not have to be a nightmare, put all your drilling fears aside! Use our step by step guide to hang the art wall of your dreams. Let’s get started!
Materials & tools:
- artwork & frames
- cardboard or large pieces of paper
- scissors or stanley knife
- ruler
- pencil
- drill, plugs & screws
Step 1 - Measure templates
Create cardboard or paper templates of all your art frames by tracing with a pencil around each frame. Use a ruler to measure where the nail needs to be placed and draw the nail hole on the template.
Step 2 - Cut templates
Cut out all the cardboards templates and add removable tape on the back of them.
Step 3 - Find the layout
Position the templates on the wall to find the perfect gallery layout. You don’t have to drill holes until you have decided on the gallery wall composition that you love.
Step 4 - Create the composition
On the floor you can mimic the composition on the wall, so you can see which frame goes where.
Step 5 - Hanging the art
Time to drill the holes and hang up the artworks. Enjoy your brand new art wall!
